Summer Fairs & Events

Summer is a busy time in California and Save Our Water took its water conservation message to places where Californians were spending their free time. Check out the fun ways people all around the state learned more about getting real about water!

Marin County Fair

The Marin County Fair celebrated the theme Going Global: Connecting Cultures in July and Save Our Water was there with a fun exhibit featuring everyday Californians from the program’s Real People, Real Savings campaign.

Save Our Water was a major sponsor of the Paul Ecke Jr. Flower and Garden Show at the 2010 San Diego County Fair (June 11-July 5), which attracted more than 1.3 million visitors. June 19 was “Save Our Water Day,” and the first 1,000 families through the gates received a Save Our Water goodie bag with a free shower timer and more.

Visit Save Our Water at the California State Fair

Save Our Water was at the California State Fair once again, this year sponsoring a special exhibit inside the State Fair Farm from July 14 - August 1. The display included a water-wise garden that will be permanent fixture at the Farm showcasing how Californians can save water in their own yards. On “Save Our Water Day” July 27, the first 1,000 families through the gates received a special water conservation gift bag.
